RELEASE OF FILES TO THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES (04.09.06)

The Security Service has released a further set of 214 historical files to The National Archives, bringing the total number of its records in the public domain to well over 3,000. The latest release includes noteworthy files on the military historian Basil Liddell-Hart, a supposed sabotage attempt against the Polish wartime leader General Sikorski, the high society figure Lady Howard of Effingham and the case of JOSEF, the only British-based double agent run against the Japanese.
